These little birds breed very prolifically for us.

We have several pairs breeding at any one time.

They have started to throw some mutation colour over the last couple of years.

Colours being yellow face blues, dark green, olives & yellow face violet.

We have breed these birds in a variety of  ways, colony of 4 or 5 pairs, 2 or 3 pairs in a large planted aviary

with finches, scarlets and bourke parrots, single pairs in suspended cages 2m x 0.35m x 0.35m.

The conditions under which they are kept doesn’t seem to have much effect on breeding results.

Average nest size would be 4 or 5 best result was a 9.
